Riding a quad bike on the obstacle-filled routes that criss-cross the estate, or exploring offroad in a 4 wheel drive vehicle constitute an exciting new way to experience the natural world. Montenmedio has a wide range of vehicles available for rent so that both adults and children can fully experience this fascinating sport.

Driving and technique perfection courses
The Driving School offers a comprehensive range of 4 wheel drive offroad driving and quad bike riding courses. Montenmedio has developed a number of programmes with differing levels of difficulty, aimed at beginners and those with little experience who wish to learn more about or perfect their offroad driving and riding technique. We also organise competitions for car clubs and associations.

5 circuits of varying difficulty
The five circuits for quad bikes and 4 wheel drive vehicles on the estate are all overseen by RACE – the Spanish Royal Automobile Club. Their layout and obstacles have been designed for differing levels of driver / rider ability, from beginner to maximum difficulty, allowing them to be used for the organisation of club competitions as well as by other car associations.

The American circuit is the perfect activity for groups of friends seeking adventure who want to take part in a fun competition for couples. There are a number of alternative circuits with varying levels of difficulty, depending on the ability of the participants.

A 7 meter high rockodrome with a variety of hand and footholds and ring and u-bolts for karabiners and snap rings allowing groups of climbers to practice all three main disciplines – climbing, abseiling and ziplining. There are a number of possible ascents to the peak of the rockodrome depending on the skill and experience of the climber.

Practicing archery at Montenmedio allows archers to take aim over a maximum distance of approximately 30 meters. Time spent on this activity varies greatly, depending on the number of participants and shots per archer.

A paintball session is very stimulating for the senses as a result of the excitement caused by such a ‘mock battle’ in the great outdoors. The game can be played either individually – increasing the level of competition among those taking part – or in teams, which strengthens the bonds between team members.

Orienteering is the perfect sport for getting out and about in the country whilst exercising and one where a good sense of direction is as important as physical fitness. Nature lovers can criss-cross the whole estate with the aid of a compass or train on special circuits.

In Montenmedio art is appreciated in harmony with its natural surroundings in the permanent exhibition of contemporary art featuring the work of contemporary sculptors and other works by artists from all over the world. The NMAC Foundation invites a number of artists each year to create ‘site-specific’ projects, based on the history, scenery and materials of the area.

Hunting enthusiasts can find a wide selection of species in the lush Montenmedio forests which may be hunted with bow and arrow. During the season, field sports enthusiasts can enjoy a day’s hunting in an exceptional, ever-changing natural setting.

Fishing enthusiasts have a boat at their disposal in the harbour at Puerto de Barbate in order that they can practice their favourite pastime. Montenmedio offers them the chance to go out into the Atlantic to practice Big-Game trolling, surface fishing or downrigging.
